PROFILE PICTURE

Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

The Making of Jigoku Shōjo Futakomori (地獄少女 二籠) Shoot

Finally managed to trace back where all my pictures for this "in the making" went Lol.
Hone onna is my favorite character and always will be :) started cosplaying her back in CF 2009 (epic failure) then re-do her in June 2010 for a photo shoot (pic can be found here :http://kuzuryu.wordpress.com/2010/06/17/416/)

Season 1
and this year managed to do another version of her kimono (season 2 )
next aim would be the season 3 version before i completely retire this character :)

Season 3
The outermost kimono layer itself was sewn by me earlier back in March 2011 i think ( don't really remember much about it) but I didn't managed to complete it until recently on the 28th August 2011 (one day before the shoot, we cosplayers procrastinate A LOT ,seriously)
Painted the flowers with Fabric paint and sealed it by ironing it with mahjong paper lol
My biggest regret was not having long hair this time D: had to use a wig which was uttermost heavy when i was lying down in the river.

My only full reference picture for this costume darn, wish they had more
had to mix two different types of red -vermilion & dark red (forgot the name lol) to get a nice shade of red for the flowers -.-
Had only like 1 or 2 hours of sleep before the shoot (sorry about the eye bags kuzu D:) lol maybe i was too excited gua or more like i was waiting for the fabric paint to dry -.- I'm amazed cherrie actually managed to wake up early even though she went for a drinking session the night before lols. Kuzu came around 6.30am and it was slightly drizzling around puchong. By the time we reached Rawang to pick up hermes the rain gotten heavier, AND my lovely fiancee managed to sleep through 55 miss calls LOL another 45 more to reach 100 D: should have just kept calling XD lolol.
reached Templer park in Rawang around 8am (the rain really GG us that day -.-) and decided the rain was too heavy to shoot and crazy to go hiking so we headed for the "nearest" McD for breakfast which was like i think 8km away?thank god for kuzu's GPS
If you guys were wondering why was hermes & cherrie following along they were actually learning how to use their new dslrs (with kuzu sensei lol) and thank you cherrie for being an awesome saikang :D
After the shoot we headed to hermes's house to drop her back ,the funny thing was we ended up sitting on the floor in her house "berborak-borak-ing" for like nearly 3 hours? LOL every time we mention that we should get going it just ended up delaying haha at least now Hermes has a new "best friend" for online games :D
The sadly worn down broken sign board near the parking lot
taking a picture of the location & managed to get cherries in the picture lol

photos of the shoot can be found here :

Thanks guys :) really had fun that day!
