Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

Pageants

Every girl dreams of wearing a tiara on her head, being a princess for a day. But how far would you go just for that fairy-tale dream?

That is why you have "Pageants". A stairway to fame for most people but to some people that see the bigger frame of it aside from just fame, it is an lifetime opportunity and platform for their dreams :-)

But it all depends, seriously.
There are so many kind of pageants now a days aside from just Miss Malaysia Universe (the most renowned pageant lol) and might add ton shit LOADS of dodgy ones as well :-/

I've joined a few myself, pulled out during the pre-selection rounds when i sense something is wrong or not worth my time ~_~ I rather focus on working and studying at the moment lol
Alot of these pageants no.1 is TIME CONSUMING, you must dedicate 100% of your time for their rehearsals ..etc and most of them promise BIG PRIZES (thousands worth of cash..etc) and some winners never got what they were promised.

And not forgetting, most pageants and their horrible last minute plannings! They expect you to be free like 24/7 waiting for their calls on the latest updates. It gets frustrating because you can't make any plans :-/

One victim, a friend of mine named Coco, the winner of Last year's Miss Malaysia Campus fell into the trap of those horrible pageant organizers.
Promised that she will represent Malaysia in Korea for MMC International round and a huge sum of prizes worth thousands, they even bounded her to a contract that she is unable to participate in any other pageants for a year! In the end they are just bunch of plain frauds!
Read her story here :

Please be aware of the pageants you join, don't be a victim!
Remember to always do a background check before you sign contracts or agree to do anything.

Based on my observations alot of these pageants don't play fair. If organizers/sponsors like you more than the rest you chances of winning is like 99%. I mean, there are many more potential winners than the organizer's particular choice. Because of jackasses like these leaves the industry a very bad impression :-/

Be smart in choosing your paths girls! Know your rights and be careful :-)
Remember there are many ways to get people to recognize you instead of just winning pageants

XOXO

 Arisa
