Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

Tokyo Street's 1st Anniversary

Awesome group photo by Hermanphotography
Thank you so much Misao! >w<

As we all know 2 weeks ago at Pavilion's Tokyo street has turned 1 this year! :-)
In conjunction of this joyous occasion many activities were carried out for the whole week! Japanese Stars, fashion icons were invited down to greet their fans. Pretty cool  indeed! >w<

Forgot to mention that they were also celebrating the Tanabata Festival that weekend!

What is Tanabata?
"Tanabata (七夕, meaning "Evening of the seventh") is a Japanese star festival, originating from the Chinese Qixi Festival. It celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively). According to legend, the Milky Way separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. The date of Tanabata varies by region of the country, but the first festivities begin on July 7 of the Gregorian calendar. The celebration is held at various days between July and August. But i was busy in college that particular week @_@ trying to finish up all my assignments as that week so happens to be final submission week..*stressed max* missed out all the events held by pavilion T^T
Well..at least i could attend the final day of their celebration that was the Cosplay Runway :-)
It was really an honor getting to cosplay Danny Choo's Mascot, Mirai Suenaga!

Mirai in her Maid uniform Will talk more about her costume on my next blog post :3

Thank you Solomon for giving me the opportunity to showcase Mirai in her Meido costume :3
I've always loved Mirai's maid's costume design, and could never motivate myself to sew the costume XD lol the usual lazy bum arisa :D and I didn't have much time to sew cosplay costumes because of college assignments T^T
Glad I managed to complete the costume is less than 2 days! >w< But my make up and wig styling failed that day D: Sorry Danny!

It was a really great yet nerve wreaking experience >.< Never in my entire life i was surrounded by so many photographers and audience (at a very close range) sorta got "stage" fright (i should call it a Platform fright since it was much of a stage lol) Imagine the whole staircase area in Pavilion filled with people (top to bottom)

Thank you for coming to support the event :-)
Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves as well!

See you at the next ACG event! ;-) *winks*

XOXO
