Guess this costume deserves a blogpost as it it my first time working with nearly 100 meter ( 1meter = 100cm) of fabrics ranging from bridal satin, tulle and variety types of organza.
Well tough it was rushed within 3 days which includes running out and getting materials all the way in KL, Spotlight Malaysia @ Ampang Point.
It was indeed a long shot but what i would give just to be able to go to Cinderella's Premier screening at LA with their recent #TGVTopCinderellaFan contest which ended last night before the clock struck midnight (11.59pm)
Dealing fabrics more than 10 meters, cutting and sewing requires lot of patience and mental concentration, many times i felt like giving up because this idea was too insane to execute within 3 days but i am glad i didn't. Though there are many things i would like to fix on the dress but i'll leave that to another time when i have the cash. Fabrics + materials itself costs me approximately RM350- 400 *wallet pain*.
But would really like to thank Spotlight for opening in Ampang Point KL, if it weren't for them i wouldn't be able to buy all the materials i need under one roof within a limited time.
Though Ampang and Kelana Jaya is far at least ampang point is accessible via lrt & bus :)
Can't wait for them to open in IPC next month so i don't have to go all the way to KL liao~ yay for us PJ people!
To people who asked me about spotlight prices, i honestly think it's actually worth it to pay abit more something that is hard to find and also most fabric patterns/textured available in Spotlight rarely can be found in Kamdar or Nagoya from my experience.
I personally used to shop at kamdar for all my materials last time because they were affordable but what makes me supper annoyed is they either have limited stocks/ never restock or some branches don't even carry the same kind of fabric (-_-)
Remembered once 2 years ago during my graduation, had to travel to Kamdar, Melaka just to find a particular fabric.
This year terlalu banyak YOLO (you only live once) moments la, don't think with my age can catch up liao lol oh and this year is also my 10th anniversary in cosplay! Finally a decade *pops confetti* and i feel extra old now lol.
Shall be making more detailed costumes to challenge myself further (requires lots of hand-stitching*sobs*). Next costume to work on is #WinterIsComing before their latest 5th season launch.
Hoping to get it done before CNY next week, wish me luck!
Here is one of the sneak peaks from the photoshoot last Friday :) More to come so stay tuned on A.R.C Photography
