Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

Simple Lettuce Wrap (Seaweed & Chick'n)

Yes you chicken.

Should start short posts about my random food WIPs, been asked alot about the stuff i eat daily to maintain/ lose weight but really if you take effort to prepare home cooked food you'll get to save at least RM100 out of your RM500- 600 monthly food expenditure.
I am also a fussy eater, so eating out damn susah for me best is to eat at home where i can control & seasonings and whatever that goes into the dish (paranoid with oil still). I do eat oil now at least, previous years i've survived without it.

Gonna share about my simple seaweed & chicken lettuce wrap that requires no oil and just 20 mins of preparing & cooking time in total.

SERVING : x2 wraps

Ingredients:
  • Large lettuce leaves (washed & dried)

For Omelette patty
  • Dried seaweed (rinse & cleaned)
  • 2 eggs
  • onion slices
  • chopped garlic
  • liquid aminos
  • white pepper.

For Chicken fillet (marinate overnight)
  • x2 Chicken fillets (small)- skinless & boneless
  • tandoori spices
  • Inapaarman's Braai & Grill seasoning
  • chili flakes
  • cumin
Utensils
  • Non stick pan
  • Airfryer (or oven)

Make sure to set the pan goin on low fire before starting at least it gives your pan some time to heat up and DO NOT use high heat/ large fire on nonstick pans as it spoils the coating. Good non stick pans do not need oil when it's heated up properly, if yours sticks then best coat it with a thin layer of oil using a glazing brush.

Mix everything except the seaweed in the omelette mixture, dump in the seaweed last before pouring it into the pan. Let that cook slowly while you pop your chicken fillet into the airfryer or oven to get that crispy outer layer.

Once they are all done slice the omelette into half wrap it with your chicken fillet & viola, simple lunch done and very satisfying too. Sorry about the half eaten picture because it taste so good i couldn't resists before taking a photo XD
And i your lettuce can't hold, just use a toothpick to hold'em up together and make sure to remove before consuming lol.

Might look like a mess but a GOOD & guiltless mess.
