Lifestyle | WALK-A-MILE Experience with NESTLÉ OMEGA PLUS®

Waking up at 5am for this walkathon, that's definitely an achievement for me with my current condition as i prioritize sleep over anything else lol, because i am mentally and physically exhausted that no amount of sleep or rest can bring me back to my usual active pre-pregnancy self. Can officially call me a sloth already because it's just so hard to get up from bed everyday >.<
Having to roll on my sides before i can actually position myself to get up properly or i'll risk twisting something (again), really pregnancy feels like it has left all my muscles (or whatever is left of it lol) in a messy knot all over as i can't even stretch normally without worrying that i'll get terrible pins & needles that would last up to 10 minutes leaving me paralyzed till it subsides.

My baby loves milk alot, tons of kicking from the lil parasite everytime i drink milk lol

I know, it may sound scary but i am't trying to scare you guys especially you ladies who are planning to have a baby soon lol. Just a heads up on what to expect when you are expecting :-P
From what i learned is that pregnant mothers do suffer from lacking of regular blood circulation throughout their body as most of it goes to the baby first before spreading to the rest hence we get swollen feet, sore muscles, shortness of breathe and the list goes on.

That's one of the reasons why doctors do encourage pregnant women to practice a healthy lifestyle like doing daily light exercise such as walking, jogging or even prenatal yoga to help regulate the blood circulation which can minimized all the pains and discomfort we big bellied ladies are going through. As a previous hardcore fitness enthusiast who used to workout at least 3 times a week, i do find it difficult to practice my active lifestyle anymore due to the constant fatigue plaguing me so my last resort is taking things easier till i pop.
Thank goodness for NESTLÉ OMEGA PLUS's walk-a-mile walkathon last weekend, something i needed after being guilty of skipping my daily walks over the past 1 week (but i did tried doing some yoga, some credit there k?).

I salute you early birds!

This has gotta be the most yummiest healthy cereal in the market!
Whacked like 3 cups of these for breakfast, it isn't too sweet or too bland, plus who doesn't like cheerios?

One of the activities to keep particpants occupied before the walkathon begins

I am amazed of the amount of participants that turned up last Saturday, never knew Malaysians were so 'rajin' to wake up this early to gather at Lake Garden haha, since most marathons are done at night these days as no one lights running under the sun. But for morning brisk walks like these, guess everyone is up for a small challenge (a mile is less than 2 km), anyway Nestle had more to offer during the event with fun filled family activities, photo taking backdrops, free health screening and of course delicious refuel tents where public can replenish their energy levels with Nestle's Omega Plus milk & also Milo along side with their new range of cereals after the walk.
There's just something about Milo trucks, makes me wonder why their Milo tastes so different yet so good compared to making it at home lol. What's their secret recipe man??!!

Walking around the whole park that morning was a good exercise indeed, the uphill part was most challenging for me, can already feel my glutes screaming lol or it's just me being terribly out of shape!

VIPs that graced the event that day were:- Datuk Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Seri Mhd Amin Nordin bin Abd Aziz; President of Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM), Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid; and Executive Director, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, Chew Soi Ping. Notable representatives from Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (YJM) also participated in the event, including Tan Sri Dato’ Kamaruzzaman Shariff, Datuk Dr. J.S. Sambhi; Dato’ Gurbakhash Singh. Other guests included Dr. Ng Wai Kiat from National Heart Association Malaysia (NHAM),TV hosts Gary Wong from Ho Chak! And Naz from Jalan Jalan Cari Makan.

So many VIPs under one roof who are there to lend their support to the cause of this campaign, also to give some motivation to the particpants especially those who are half awake like me lol.

From what i heard there was a total of 3, 800 attendees that day, people of all ages both young and old joining this walk to help create public awareness on heart problems which is common among Malaysians based on research conducted by the ministry of health and all of them started showing signs at such a young age (as young as 18). That sounds pretty alarming alright!
All these can be avoided with smarter lifestyle choices, like food consumption- we can cut down on our deep fried food and inserting small daily workouts like taking the stairs instead of lifts. But of course to make all these even more effective, Nestle recommends customers to also consume their Nestle Omega Plus milk while practicing a healthy lifestyle which has proven in reducing risks of heart related diseases.

Well for now i don't have to worry too much about my cholesterol levels as my recent medical check up results just states i am anemic so gotta take in more iron rich food, and continue with light exercises to make sure the regular blood flows well throughout my body :)
Phew..taking care of one's health can be hard, guess we have to make an effort or who else will right?
Leading a hectic lifestyle is no excuse to neglect our overall well-being, as we only have one body and one life how we all wish we had 9 like cats so we cant "die"and resurrect again right? HAHA!
Can la, you just need to be catman/ catwoman.

See? I am still strong enough to do weight lifting even being 6 months pregnant lol

Nice seeing all of you guys again! It's been awhile :)
