Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

The Brush Contest Winner REVEALED!

Personally i never knew how big "The Brush Contest" was till that day during the media invitation to witness their very first winner that will be representing Malaysia in Cannes for the Global Make Up Designer Competition next month (May).
Apparently, this contest was mainly targeted for aspiring make up enthusiast or proffesionals who are active on social media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Instagram to share their works as well gaining the necessary exposure to be discovered worldwide.

It was said that the response of this contest was overwhelming as the preliminary round was held simultaneously in 12 different countries including France, USA, UK, China, Thailand, Malaysia and many more just to name a few.
Imagining having to compete against so many for the main prize that is 1 year L'Oréal Paris Contract worth 100,000£, opportunities to participate in beauty shoots, tutorial creations and be part of the Make Up academy in Cannes.

And after short-listing the top 10 (from over hundreds of participants) to go through and intense Designer boot-camp conducted by  L'Oréal Paris Malaysia, where they showcase their passion for cosmetics as make up artistes during various roadshows and other activities if you have followed L'Oréal Paris Malaysia's Facebook page closely on all the activities held during The Brush contest.

So a big Congratulations to Jamie Tan, who is a Business Analyst (for 8 years in Aviation Industry) and now to add in more colours to her life as a make up artist.
You can finally spread your wings and fly (literally lol) gurl, and all the best in Cannes.
I always believe passion comes first before anything else and if you stick to what you love doing, sooner or later it WILL definitely pay off. Life's a struggle but when you have passion, it makes life more bearable :)

Her winning look using L'Oréal Paris make up's (obviously!) latest range like their Riche L'Extraordinaire that contain micro oils and rich colour pigments for an ideal balance of colour and care. Now that's what i call a lippie that i would like to add to my list, comes in 6 beautiful shades available at all L'Oréal  counters near you.
Check out Jamie's first entry that managed to secured her a spot in The Brush contest:

Jamie Tan's winning look inspired by pastel shades of Cotton Candy.
Once again, congrats on your winning Jamie, All the best in your future endeavours and especially in the Grand Finale at Cannes that will broadcasted LIVE on Youtube on 11th June 2015.
