Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

Paris Hilton Experience @ Malaya Optical

Weeeee~~ Time for my annual visit to the optometrist to get my eyes checked and the last time i went for my checkup with my usual optometrist earlier this year was around February i think?
Great news because my power decreased *rejoice* so it's proven that eating carrots everyday actually improves your eyesight.
I eat my carrots raw, snack on them and they taste really good when mixed with pepper & herbs :D
My favourite will always be the Australian carrots because they are so sweet and crunchy, not to mention HUGE too. Darn, now I want to eat carrots but I'm out of them T_T

I still haven't had the time to get my new spectacles done though  :-/ So the specs i'm currently using is still my old power which is kinda high, makes me dizzy if i use it too often.
Well at least i know where to get my new specs done this time ;-)

Received a good news from The Butterfly Project (TBP) that I made it to one of the 30 bloggers who will be going off to The Lost World of Tambun end of this month *yippie*
Thank you so much TBP!

So that means time for me to start packing for this trip, went to Malaya Optical to pick up my brand new sunnies.
Guess which brand they are from? Paris Hilton babehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I can now go on holiday looking like a diva wei *perasan* even without make up because sunglasses are the ultimate faux make up tricks when you are feeling lazy :-P

Designer sunglasses fit for a DIVA!

When i first arrived at Malaya Optical, Damansara Uptown (took a 2 hour bus ride down @@ sat until butt numb lol) was greeted by friendly the friendly shop staffs who offered me a cup of water while i waited for her to take the sunglasses out.

Mr. Ryan Ho, the third generation successor of Malaya Optical and also an experience Professional Optometrist. Many of their Professional Optometrist staffs have been clinical supervisors of local university for many years. Unlike most optical shop these days who just randomly hire people without proper qualifications because all they need to learn how to use an auto programmed machine to check a customer's eyes :-/
I still personally prefer the old traditional way, find it way more accurate than those machines.

Too bad, didn't get to see Mr.Ryan that day, missed him by 10 minutes T__T *sobs* if not could ask more questions about sunglasses :-P

There is so many brands to choose from that you would be definitely spoilt for choices (I know, I would!) and this is one of those shops where there is constantly walk in customers, so you get the idea that they are always busy :-)

I mean, who doesn't feel welcome upon stepping into this shop, friendly staff, comfortable environment and loads of designs to choose from + the price is also affordable compared to most optical shops I've visited, ranging from RM3xx to RM2xxx. As you can see they are constantly having promotions, sales and special offers for Sunglasses, Contacts Lenses and Branded Frames!
Stalk Malaya Optical's Facebook:fb.com/malayaoptical for latest news!

Service here is really recommended, so if you need to get your eyes checked or get replacement glasses i would suggest for you to drop by Malaya Optical. Oh, make sure to call up and make an appointment with Mr Ryan before you drop by, he is a super busy man. Always running around, you are lucky if you manage to catch him upon walk-in :-D

I found my new potential replacement glasses! Doesn't this look gorgeous? (。♥‿♥。)

Time for me to get vainnnnnnnnnnnnnn! I have every rights to :-P
Was actually kinda shy to take pictures because other customers around me were staring as i camwhored. Bet they must be thinking I'm some weird "syok sendiri" girl trololol~
Trying out a few of the 10 designs from Paris Hilton 2013 collection.

And I can't believe that this is the first time I'm actually trying on designer stuff. I've visited the optical shop countless of times but trying on a RM500+ sunnies has never crossed my mind lol. I know some friends who try them on just to camwhore, lolwut (-_-;;)

How do i look? Which do you think suits me best? :-P
Kinda hard to pick since my hairstyle constantly changes.

One thing that is unique about Malaya Optical is they also carry in unique brands of designer glass frames and sunglasses, here is some examples listed below:
