Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

We Survived The Mayan Apocalypse!

Indeed a backlog post >.< Sorry for the slow updates recently guys! I'm still taking some time to recuperate from my recent health problems [again]. After exams, instead of feeling happy.. I ended up feeling super duper depress. Really need to settle my depression problem before it gets really serious :-( le sighs~

Back to the Cosplay Ball :D It was originally named "Christmas Cosplay Ball" and this is the 3rd year we are celebrating it! The other title was for fun, but hey! The line ish catchy (=w=)b
Me rike! lol
Woots~ Hope it continues to grow every year, thank you for all the unending support fellow cosplayers!

You guys can check out the previous celebrations here :

I'm the worst committee member EVER, I'm so sorry Venus-sama D: I never expected for my exams to fall directly after Christmas *sobs* Damn you TARC!
And my dear assistant, Chye Boon (more like sudah jadi Ketua, and I'm the assistant instead lol XD) for being so hardworking doing all the work, running around, attending meetings on my behalf..I feel so bad for letting you take up all the work (T▽T)
I owe you a mountain of chocolates which you have YET TO CLAIM!

The worst part about my college is having an exam on a Saturday (29th December)! Grrrrrrr!
Can't get any worst right? I was wrong =_= The paper I was sitting for was scheduled in the evening. WTF.
After my paper, had to rush back home to freshen up and quickly do my make up as I was already running late >.<

The whole month of December was filled with completing and submitting final assignments and studying for exam not forgetting loads of drama too, will slowly unveil in my next blogpost.
Totally no mood (more like no time) to sew my costumes at all  (╯︵╰,)
I initially designed a costume specially for this party, bought materials and even cut the cloth already but plan didn't turn out because of exams.

I signed up for Jubilee hearts, so the characters that represented that house are fairies, elves and mystical creatures ♥ I always have a soft spot for them ♥
It was 1am + (on the day of my exam) that i realized i have nothing to wear for the ball oTL so I sat down and started digging whatever materials I had in the room. Being resourceful is my middle name.. Ohohoh~ perasan. If you guys had followed my instagram you would have already seen these pictures, if you have not, do follow me @arisa_chow

End result?
I threw on my Le Ann Maxima Grecian Maxi Dress and used my leftover chiffon as a shawl lols well..it works at least :-P
How do you like my look? Yay or Nay?
