Welcome to my blog!

If you are in for an adventure paired with lengthy, quirky, brutal honest thoughts then you are in the right place.

My name is Arisa and was a cosplayer for 12 years in Malaysia before settling down in Kyoto, Japan. Exploring Japan full time has been a long time dream of mine, so let's explore it together!

Tutorial:Make Up on The Go

I do understand the woes of some cosplayers when it comes to daily  usage of cosmetics (college/ work/ outings). It doesn't have to be so many expensive products just to look presentable.

We only have thick stage make up that is suitable for photoshoots/ cosplay events but they always look over the top to use on a daily basis. I too encountered this problem when i first started modelling when i was 16 lol. So I am gonna dedicate this short simple tutorial video for you girls of all ages.

Enjoy <3

Oh and I'm currently trying out my new camera that I've gotten to replace my old one. All photos and videos are taken using Samsung Galaxy Camera, some edited via the camera itself too :D
The only thing was i uploaded it to my dropbox to add in the watermark.

Before, looking dead.

After, looking more decent and presentable.

Title was inspired by my fav best friend who is an international photographer (first taught me about gravure, *ahem* lol) Hibiki Tokai Production- Photographers On The Run 8D
Most of us don't have the time unlike some people who has all the time in the world to do their make up before heading out. One thing I also despise about wearing make up while running to an event via public transport if my fresh make up melting by the time i reach the event *sigh*
The woes of not having a car in a city, but what can i do? lol hope the MRT makes travelling more easier and faster :-/

This is a common sight in Japan, but you hardly see Malaysians doing it because very "paiseh".
Don't make this a habit lol unless you don't have any other choice.

This is a solution I've practiced over the years before i managed to perfect it, yep took me years of training to draw any eyeliner in a speeding car..etc (i have crazy friend drivers). So now i would like to share the art of a simple fresh presentable look that can be done while in the train or car.

P/S: A lil warning about doing your makeup in public, Malaysians have a bad habit of staring at everything, it might feel a little weird at first but you will get over it. I mean, why the heck would they even want to stare at you doing make up for? But make sure to not obstruct other people's comfort in public ya! I usually only do it in a not so cramped train/car.

Reasons You can tell to make yourself comfortable:
  1. You are too pretty, that people can't take their eyes off you.
  2. Malaysians are naturally KEPOH people.
  3. Amused by your unique skills
  4. Best of all- IGNORE.
Life is more easier that way, hope this tips helps :-)
Watch the video to see how it's done, i do apologize in advance if it's rather shaky because it is recorded in a moving vehicle.

Okay, changed my mind about recording on a moving train >.< lighting was bad and it was so shaky till you feel dizzy after watching it @_@ The first attempt was a failure.
I'm just gonna record it from home, makes viewing much easier.
But no worries about using this method on a moving vehicle (not unless you are the driver lol) the eyeliner part might be slightly challenging for first timers so i recommend to start with pencil eyeliner
instead of liquid.

Enjoy!

Cosmetics Needed
  • Eyemazing Blusher
  • BCL’s Browlash EX Lash Sculpture LS Mascara
  • Bibo Eyeful Eyeliner
  • Heavy Rotation Powder Eyebrow & Nose Shadow-#02 Natural Brown

Every girl must prepare an emergency make up pouch in their handbags, you will never know when your crush might suddenly ask you out on a date or you might get a job interview. It doesn't have to be heavy, looking natural is always the best at least it gives people a good look at your natural beautiful features instead of the heavy makeup that makes you look like a drag queen.

Even with such little make up, a little grooming does help to make a difference in our appearance.
Ignore my vacuum cleaner at the back lol.

A very simple daily look you can wear to college/ outings instead of the usual thick heavy cosplay make up we constantly put.

This is a very simple less than 10 mins makeup that you can do anywhere, anytime as long you have these materials ready in your bag.
Hope you enjoyed the video, upcoming next would be my tutorial on the most famously requested liquid eyeliner technique that i usually use on my daily wear. It's gonna be so simple and short by the end of it you can also do it like a pro XD
Stay tuned~

Using Kiss Me/ K-Platte/ J pop corner liquid eyeliner for cat eyes tutorial.

I'm still trying to learn how to make proper videos so that you guys won't get dizzy and puke halfway XD
Do leave me a feedback *hugs*
Let me know what else would you like to see in the future, i ain't no pro at this video tutorials unlike Michelle Phan @_@ but I'll try my best to share simple techniques i discovered over the years. Lol

XOXO.
